Queer Mixed Media (Q.M.M.) is an independent art studio based in Chicago, Illinois. This page explains what we collect, who handles it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us: your name, email, shipping address, and order details when you place an order, commission work, subscribe to the newsletter, or contact us. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Tips and memberships go through Ko-fi, Venmo, or Cash App, which handle those payments under their own policies. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit. We also collect basic, anonymous usage data through Google Analytics, but only if you say yes on the cookie notice.
To fulfill and ship orders, reply to your messages, send the newsletter only if you opt in, and understand which pages get visited so we can improve the site. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and contact messages only as long as the conversation is live.
We never sell your information. We share it only with the providers we rely on to operate, and only as needed: Stripe (payments), USPS and other carriers (shipping), Buttondown (newsletter), FormSubmit (contact form delivery), SendPulse (the chat widget in the corner of the site), Google Analytics (anonymous site usage, only with your consent), and Ko-fi, Venmo, and Cash App (tips and memberships). Each of these has its own privacy policy.
This site sets one kind of optional cookie: Google Analytics, and only after you choose Yes on the cookie notice. If you choose No, or ignore the notice, analytics stays off and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is saved in your browser so we do not ask again; clear this site's data in your browser to change it. We run no advertising cookies and no ad tracking of any kind.
A few things outside our control may set their own cookies when you use them: Webflow, which hosts this site, may set a small functional cookie the site needs to work; Stripe and Ko-fi set cookies on their checkout pages; and the SendPulse chat widget sets cookies if you open a chat. Those are covered by each company's own policy.
Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time using the link in every email. Request a copy or deletion of your information by emailing us and we will handle it within 30 days. Say no to analytics on the cookie notice, or block cookies in your browser settings.
